Music festivals and events all summer long in Luxembourg
All summer long, festivals and other musical events will delight our senses: events and concerts will punctuate our weekends and evenings in Luxembourg.
Luxembourg Open Air festival
The music season kicks off on May 9 and 10, 2025 with the LOA Season Opening Festival. Set against the incredible backdrop of the Belval blast furnaces, you'll be treated to the sounds of electronic music from a dozen DJs.
LOA will also be closing the season with the LOA Season Closing on Friday September 12 and Saturday September 13 at the Metzeschmelz industrial site between Esch-sur-Alzette and Schifflange. Fans of electro music will be able to round off their summer with music and good cheer.

Gare Grooves
Luxembourg station welcomes travelers all summer long with musical entertainment on Thursday evenings from 6 to 7.30pm. Enjoy a festive and gourmet moment in an unusual setting.
Plëss in Concert
The bandstand on Place d'Armes will come alive from May 16 to September 7, 2025 with a wide variety of concerts: brass bands, jazz music, and other more classical or upbeat styles. Plëss in Concert" is the perfect way to enjoy the pretty terraces of Place d'Armes. Ideal for an aperitif with family and friends!

Francofolies in Esch-sur-Alzette
Join the 25,000 Francofolies festival-goers in Esch-sur-Alzette 's Galgebierg Park. Attend concerts byFrench-speaking artists from June 6 to 8, 2025. Every year, the trendy town of Esch-sur-Alzette welcomes French-speaking artists for this major open-air festival: the Francofolies. Don't forget to buy a ticket for the Mammendag. The whole family will be delighted!
Urban Piano and Fête de la musique
The Urban Piano musical operation transforms passers-by into street musicians, for the space of a moment. The 10th edition will take place from May 15 to June 17, 2025.
The inevitable Fête de la Musique will then take over. You can enjoy free concerts and musical entertainment in the capital and throughout Luxembourg from June 13 to 21, 2025.
City Sounds of Luxembourg
The summer continues with free "City Sounds" concerts on June 22 and 23, 2025. DJ sets and local and international bands will set the Champ du Glacis on Limpertsberg alight.
LuxExpo Open Air
Once again, LuxExpo will welcome thousands of festival-goers for wild evenings featuring international headliners. This year's line-up includes Sting on July 1, Martin Garrix on July 4, Justin Timberlake on July 8, Damso on July 16 and Guns N'Roses on July 28! Are you in Luxembourg in July? Kinnekswiss loves

Blues'n Jazz Rally
On July 19, 2025, the "Blues'n Jazz Rallye" will enchant the old districts of Pfaffenthal, Clausen and Grund. Discover or rediscover these historic districts in a magical, musical atmosphere, with numerous jazz and blues concerts. The concerts are free of charge.
E-Lake Festival in Echternach
Finally, the Lac d'Echternach will welcome festival-goers from August 8 to 10 for pop, rock, hip-hop and techno concerts in a bucolic setting.
Visit iconic sites in a festive atmosphere
The Philharmonie de Luxembourg is not to be outdone, with its End-of-Season Party featuring 12 hours of non-stop music on July 5, 2025, in a prestigious setting with a 2,500 m2 dance-floor.
The Belval blast furnaces will also be celebrating on July 5 with incredible all-genre shows. Don't miss a tour of the blast furnaces, or even the zip-line. Thrills guaranteed!
The traditional " Concerts de Midi" delight classical music lovers all year round, but not only, on certain Fridays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. The Villa Vauban and the Letzebuerg City Museum are teaming up to offer a moment of relaxation in the magnificent gardens of the Villa Vauban from July 16 to August 14.
The Château de Vianden will host the Fête Médiévale from July 26 to August 3, bringing this historic site back to the time of the knights with over 100 extras. Medieval music, street performers, period market, ...
The "Cancelled Holidays" at Les Rotondes should also appeal to the widest possible audience from July 25 to August 21, 2025. With family aperitifs, exhibitions and DJ sets, there'll be no regrets about spending August in Luxembourg!
Festivities and fun
In terms of fun for all ages, the traditional "Garer Kiermes" station fair will be held from June 20 to July 6, on the Place de Paris in the station area.
The Fête Nationale on June 22 and 23 is sure to give the Luxembourg capital a festive air. Family attractions, food stalls and, above all, the fireworks display on June 22 will amaze young and old alike during these traditional events in honor of the Grand Duke.
From July 4 to September 17, the Gelle Fra on the Place de la Constitution will be welcoming residents and tourists alike to festive events featuring concerts and DJ sets, food stalls, a pétanque area, water games and a library as part of the D'Stad liest program.
The Bonnevoie district will take over with its kermesse from July 11 to 15, 2025 on Place Jeanne d'Arc. These fairs are an excellent opportunity to socialize with neighbors and enjoy a friendly, festive atmosphere.
The traditional Schueberfouer will take place as usual on the Champ du Glacis! This year, it will take place from August 22 toSeptember 10, 2025.
On August 1 and 2, 2025, the "Kanner in the City" animation will delight the little ones and their families. For the occasion, the capital will be transformed into a giant playground, with entertainment for children in various locations around the capital:
- August 1 and 2: Place d'Armes, Place Guillaume II and Square Jean Palach
- August 2: Place des Capucins, Place du Puis Rouge and Place Hamilius at the streetcar stop.
We also hope that the Parc de Merl will once again welcome sailboats to its pond. Something to delight all young freshwater sailors!
Sports activities... or not
The more active and sporty are not forgotten during the summer period. Numerous sporting activities await them. Luxembourg's Kinnekswiss offers both sports and relaxation. Villa Vauban also offers a variety of activities in the park.
Jogging in Luxembourg
And don't miss the JP Morgan City Jogging on July 6, 2025 to run or walk through Luxembourg City. Children as young as 5 can take part.
Luxembourg Pride Run
Luxembourg Pride Week will take place this year from July 5 to 13, 2025 in Luxembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette. In this context, the Luxembourg Pride Run will be organized by the City of Luxembourg and ING Bank, the initiator of the Luxembourg Marathon. Throughout Luxembourg Pride Week, the LGBTIQ+ cause will be highlighted to promote open-mindedness and inclusion for all.
The Luxembourg Pride Run also aims to defend the rights of LGBTIQ+ people. Anyone can take part, even non-athletes. Everyone can run twice at their own pace.
The Pride Run is organized by the Rosa Lëtzebuerg ASBL association, which is very active on LGBTIQ+ issues.
Vëlosummer, cycle Luxembourg's roads
In addition, the "Vëlosummer" summer event allows everyone to get on their bikes and explore Luxembourg's signposted paths and roads. Some roads are even closed for the occasion! This new eco-tourism event will run from July 19 to August 24, 2025.
Broadcast of women's soccer matches
The European Women's Football Championship matches will be broadcast live from July 16 to 27 on the Champ du Glacis in the Limpertsberg district. Entertainment and food stalls.
The Place du Théâtre should once again be fitted out with deckchairs and parasols for a relaxing beach effect.
Summer art activities in Luxembourg
Open-air cinema with City Open Air Cinema
Like every year, the cinema will also be in summer. Would you like to see classic films or blockbusters again? Then take advantage of an unusual, open-air setting right in the middle of the city. See you this summer in the magnificent setting of Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg from July 24 to 31. La Luga will also be welcoming the 7th art on August 29 and 30 in the Parc Odendahl in the Pfaffenthal district.
Films are shown in their original version with subtitles.
Sessions take place every evening at 9:30 pm. They are maintained in case of rain. Plastic pilgrims are provided in case of bad weather. Catering and refreshments are also available for a complete cinema experience.

Outdoor painting and sculpture exhibitions
The Konscht Am Gronn takes place every first Sunday of the month until October. Take advantage of this event to stroll the streets of Grund and admire the works of local artists. These include painting, digital art, ceramics, woodworking and photography.
Reading and book fairs
If you're a comic book fan, don't miss the Festival de la BD in Contern on July 19 and 20, 2025.
And reading will not normally be forgotten. "D'Stad liest" offers visitors to the Place de la Constitution an open-air library with read-alouds. This Luxembourg City event will take place from late August to early September.
Visit shopping events will also be there for fashionistas, including the summer sales from June 27 to July 26, 2025.
The Grande Braderie de Luxembourg is scheduled for early September. The date has yet to be confirmed.
Flea market enthusiasts will also be delighted with the garage sales held on the Champ du Glacis every 1st Sunday of the month from April to October. And don't miss the flea markets on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month on the Place d'Armes in Luxembourg.
