Escape to France from Luxembourg

Visiting France from Luxembourg

In the immediate vicinity of Luxembourg, Lorraine offers a wide range of family, cultural and/or sporting activities to get you away from it all.
Two major cities not to be missed: Nancy, with its famous Place Stanislas and unique Art Nouveau heritage, and Metz, with its pedestrian center, impressive cathedral and Pompidou-Metz center.
But other cities and activities are not lacking in attractions either.

The region's gastronomy is waiting to be discovered: meat, game and fish are often cooked in casseroles or pâtés. And what about the delicious mirabelle plum tarts, a local specialty in summer when the mirabelle plum harvest is in full swing?

For those who want to go further afield, hiking and skiing enthusiasts can enjoy a weekend in the Vosges mountains.
