Festivals and musical events all summer long in Luxembourg
All summer long, festivals and other musical events will delight our senses: events and concerts will punctuate our weekends and evenings in Luxembourg.
Luxembourg Open Air Festival
The music season kicks off on May 22 and 23, 2026, with the LOA Season Opening Festival. At the incredible site of the Belval blast furnaces, Place de l’Académie, get into the groove with electronic music from a dozen DJs.
LOA will also wrap up the summer season with the LOA Season Closing on September 11 and 12, 2026, at the Metzeschmelz industrial site, located between Esch-sur-Alzette and Schifflange. Electronic music fans can end their summer with music and good vibes.

Gare Grooves
Luxembourg Station welcomes travelers all summer long with musical entertainment on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Rue du Fort Neipperg and on the plaza in front of the station. Enjoy a festive and culinary experience in a unique setting.
Plëss in Concert
The bandstand on Place d’Armes will come alive from May to September with a wide variety of concerts: brass bands, jazz, and other styles ranging from classical to upbeat. Enjoy the lovely terraces of Place d’Armes with this “Plëss in Concert” event. Perfect for an aperitif, lunch, or dinner with family or friends!

Francofolies in Esch-sur-Alzette
Join the 25,000 festival-goers at the Francofolies in Esch-sur-Alzette in the Parc du Galgebierg. Catch concerts by French-speaking artists from June 12 to 14, 2026. Headliners include Gims, Macklemore, and Mosimann, who will bring the Esch-sur-Alzette crowd to life for this major open-air festival: the Francofolies. Consider giving a ticket for Mammendag. The whole family will be thrilled to go!
Urban Piano and Fête de la Musique
The Urban Piano music initiative transforms passersby into street musicians, if only for a moment. The 10th edition will take place from May 13 to June 16, 2026.
The unmissable Fête de la Musique will then take over. You can enjoy freeconcerts and musical events in the capital and throughout Luxembourg from June 12 to 21, 2025.
City Sounds in Luxembourg
We’ll continue the summer with music atthe free “City Sounds” concerts on June 22 and 23, headlined by the famous American band One Republic. As part of the National Day celebrations, DJ sets and local and international bands will “set the stage on fire” at the Champ du Glacis in Limpertsberg.
LuxExpo Open Air
LuxExpo will once again welcome thousands of festival-goers for wild nights featuring international headliners.
This year’s lineup includes Moby on July 3, Robbie Williams on July 6, Jamiroquai on July 7, Lenny Kravitz on July 8, and Katy Perry on July 14, to name just a few.

Kinnekswiss loves
You can also enjoy open-air concerts at the Kinnekswiss in Luxembourg’s Municipal Park with the “Kinnekswiss loves…” festival . Take the opportunity to picnic to the music, notably with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. Other genres are also on the program. More unforgettable moments are in store! The program will be announced at a later date.
Blues’n Jazz Rally
The “Blues’n Jazz Rallye” is set to once again enchant the historic neighborhoods of Pfaffenthal, Clausen, and Grund. Discover or rediscover these historic neighborhoods in a magical, musical atmosphere featuring numerous jazz and blues concerts. Admission is free, and the concerts are completely free of charge.
E-Lake Festival in Echternach
Finally, Lake Echternach will welcome festival-goers from August 7 to 9, 2026, for pop, rock, hip-hop, and techno concerts in a picturesque setting.
Visit iconic venues in a musical atmosphere
The Philharmonie de Luxembourg is not to be outdone with its End-of-Season Party, featuring 12 hours of non-stop music on July 4, 2026, in a prestigious setting.
The traditional “Concerts de Midi” delight classical music lovers—and others— year-round on select Fridays from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. During the summer, the “Concerts de Midi” move to the gardens of Villa Vauban. Take the opportunity to attend a free concert in a pleasant setting. Detailed program available on the vdl.lu website
The Rotondes’ “Congés annulés” should also appeal to a wide audience from late July through late August. Family happy hours, exhibitions, and DJ sets—you won’t regret spending your August in Luxembourg! Dates to be announced.

When it comes to fun for all ages, there are also all kinds of festivities.
For fans of fairs and rides
Fairs are a great opportunity to socialize with neighbors and enjoy a friendly, festive atmosphere.
The traditional “Garer Kiermes” fair will take place from June 12 to 28 on Place de Paris in the Gare district.
The Bonnevoie neighborhood will take over with its fair from July 10 to 14 on Place Jeanne d’Arc.
The traditional Schueberfouer, eagerly awaited by everyone, will take place as usual on the Champ du Glacis! This year, it will run from August 21 to September 9, 2026.
Street Festivals and Live Performances
The "Fréijoer op der Gëlle Fra" event will take place from May 22 to June 14, 2026, on Place de la Constitution. The “Dame en Or” will welcome residents and tourists to festive events featuring concerts and DJ sets, food stalls, as well as a pétanque area, water games, and a library as part of the “D’Stad liest” event.
National Day on June 22 and 23 will help create a festive atmosphere in Luxembourg’s capital. Attractions for families and children, food stands, and especially the fireworks display on June 22 will delight young and old alike during these traditional celebrations in honor of the Grand Duke.
The Belval blast furnaces will also be celebrating on July 4 with incredible shows of all kinds. Don’t miss a tour of the blast furnaces or the giant zip line. Thrills guaranteed!
Luxembourg Pride Week will take place this year in the city of Luxembourg, which will host all the festivities from July 4 to 11.

The more active and athletic aren’t forgotten during the summer. Numerous sports activities await them. The Kinnekswiss in Luxembourg offers both sports and relaxation. Villa Vauban also offers various activities in the park.
Jogging in Luxembourg
Don’t miss the JP Morgan City Jogging in early July to run or walk through the city of Luxembourg. Children as young as 5 can participate.
The Luxembourg Pride Run will take place during Luxembourg Pride Week.
Vëlosummer: Hit the roads of Luxembourg by bike
In addition, the summer event “Vëlosummer” lets everyone hop on their bike to explore Luxembourg’s marked trails and roads. Some are even closed off for the occasion! This new eco-friendly tourism initiative will run from July 18 to August 16, 2026, for this new edition.
For a relaxing beach vibe, the Place du Théâtre is set to be set up again this summer with lounge chairs and umbrellas.
Summer Arts Activities in Luxembourg
Open-air cinema with the City Open Air Cinema
As every year, the cinema will also set up its summer venue. Want to revisit classic films or blockbusters? Then enjoy a unique setting right in the city center under the open sky. Join us this summer in Luxembourg at the magnificent Place Guillaume II from July 23 to 28.
The City Open Air Cinema will also take over the Bonnevoie neighborhood, at Place Léon XIII, from August 6 to 8, 2026.
Films are shown in their original language with subtitles.
Screenings take place at 9:30 PM every evening. They will go ahead even in the rain. Plastic rain ponchos are provided in case of bad weather. Food and refreshments are also available for a complete movie experience.

Outdoor painting and sculpture exhibitions
Konscht Am Gronn takes place every first Sunday of the month through October. Take advantage of this event to stroll through the streets of the Grund and admire the works of local artists. You’ll find paintings, as well as digital art, ceramics, woodwork, and photography.
Reading and book fairs
If you’re a comic book fan, don’t miss the Comic Book Festival in Contern on July 18 and 19.
And reading won’t be left out either. “D’Stad liest” offers visitors to Constitution Square an open-air library with public readings. This event organized by the City of Luxembourg will take place in late August and early September.
Shopping events will also be on the agenda for fashionistas, notably the summer sales from June 28 to July 19.
The Grande Braderie de Luxembourg is scheduled to take place on August 31, 2026.
Flea market enthusiasts will also be delighted with the garage sales on the Champ du Glacis every first Sunday of the month from April to October. Don’t miss the flea markets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at Place d’Armes in Luxembourg.
