The Lëtz Go Gold charity run is a must-attend annual event in Luxembourg dedicated to the fight against childhood cancers. Organized by the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, the next edition will take place on the last Saturday of September, September 26, 2026.
This event brings together participants from all walks of life to raise essential funds for research and support for children with cancer.
To date, over 18,000 euros have already been raised! Congratulations to all participants.
Join the fight against pediatric cancer with Lëtz Go Gold
Would you like to help fight cancer, especially in children? Lëtz Go Gold offers everyone the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the fight against pediatric cancer.
Participants in this race commit to raising funds, with a minimum of 100 euros for students and minors, and 200 euros for adults. These contributions are donated in full to research projects aimed at discovering new treatments and improving existing ones. By participating, you become a key player in advancing research and supporting families affected by this disease.
Research is essential to improving survival rates and developing less invasive and more effective treatments.
Join us on September 26, 2026, for a day of solidarity
The last edition of Lëtz Go Gold, on September 27, 2025 , brought together more than 1,300 participants divided into 109 teams. Together, they raised over 726,000 euros, a record-breaking amount for the event.
This exceptional mobilization demonstrates the solidarity and commitment of the Luxembourgish community to this noble cause.
Every year, the number of participants grows, and with it, the funds raised:
In 2021, more than 900 runners raised just over 420,000 euros. In 2022, 1,100 runners raised 560,000 euros. In 2023, 1,392 participants raised nearly 618,000 euros.
Once again, a huge congratulations to all participants for their commitment!
To beat these numbers in the 2026 edition, join this race too.

The Importance of Research in Beating Childhood Cancers
In Luxembourg, between 30 and 40 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. The most common types of cancer in children are leukemia and tumors of the central nervous system.
While receiving excellent care, particularly at the CHL’s National Pediatric Onco-Hematology Service within the Kannerklinik, children need their parents by their side. This is especially true when they must undergo treatment abroad.
Thanks to "leave for serious family reasons," parents are entitled to 52 weeks of special leave to be taken over a two-year period. However, this leave cannot be taken by both parents at the same time. Furthermore, this leave is not renewed if it is used up during the period, in the event of the child’s relapse.
The Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation is fighting to expand this leave, and even extend it to grandparents.
The Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation: Essential Support
For over 30 years, the Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation has been supporting families of children with cancer in Luxembourg. It offers psychosocial, administrative, logistical, and financial support, as well as services such as housekeeping assistance, academic support, and educational activities.
The Foundation is also involved in awareness campaigns and actively funds research to improve treatments and cure rates. Your participation in events like Lëtz Go Gold directly contributes to these essential missions.
Support the fight against cancer beyond the race
In addition to participating in the race, there are many ways to support the fight against pediatric cancers. You can make a donation directly to the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, organize fundraisers, or volunteer at events organized by the Foundation. Every gesture counts and helps provide a better future for children with cancer. For more information on the different ways to get involved, visit the Foundation’s website at fondatioun.lu/.
