Fraud Alert: Fake Job Postings and Misuse of the Just Arrived Name

We would like to inform our readers and the expat community about a current scam that is misusing the name Just Arrived.

Several people have recently contacted us after being approached on social media (particularly Facebook) or via WhatsApp by individuals claiming to be affiliated with our organization or with partners in Luxembourg.

These interactions involve fake job offers, promises of interviews, or immigration procedures, sometimes accompanied by requests for payment.

Just Arrived strongly condemns these fraudulent activities and reminds everyone that such practices may result in criminal liability for those responsible.

What is currently happening

Malicious individuals are using Just Arrived’s name, visual identity, or reputation to:

  • offer fake jobs in Luxembourg
  • claim to be organizing job interviews
  • request application or processing fees, particularly to obtain a visa for Luxembourg
  • redirecting communications to WhatsApp or foreign phone numbers

These practices are fraudulent and have no connection to our services.

What Just Arrived never does

  • Just Arrived does not recruit or offer employment contracts.
  • We never ask for payment in connection with job searches or administrative procedures.
  • We do not conduct interviews via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or any other informal channel.
  • We never guarantee that you will obtain a job, a visa, or a residence permit.

How can you spot a scam?

  • Unsolicited contact via WhatsApp, social media, or email, using an address that does not come from our official domain @justarrived.lu
  • A quick promise of a job without the standard recruitment process by the company in question
  • Request for payment or “application fees”
  • Pressure tactics or language that sounds too good to be true
  • An unverifiable foreign phone number.

What should you do if you have any doubts?

If you are contacted by someone claiming to represent Just Arrived:

  • Do not provide any personal or banking information
  • Do not make any payments
  • Stop all communication immediately.

We encourage you to always verify information with reliable sources before taking any action.

Our Commitment

Protecting internationally mobile individuals and expatriates is at the heart of our mission. We take any misuse of our name very seriously and report such incidents to the relevant platforms.

We thank you for your vigilance and trust.

👉 In the event of a fraud attempt or suspicious contact, we urge those affected to report it directly to the relevant authorities and the platforms involved (social media, WhatsApp)
