Flea markets and garage sales for the pleasure of bargain hunting

With spring and the beautiful season, the garage sales and flea markets start again for the greatest pleasure of all the bargain hunters.

Lovers of old books, furniture marked by the times, toys and other decorative objects will find their happiness in the stalls of the flea markets.

Yard sales are finally starting up again. The first garage sale of the season will take place in Schifflange on Sunday, March 5, 2023, followed by others in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.

Brocantes of the Place d’Armes

If you are an antique lover, from March to October you can visit the antique market of the Place d’Armes in the tourist district of Luxembourg-Centre.

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, from 8am to 6pm, you can stroll among the stalls of the professionals of the secondhand trade. Who knows, you might find that 1930s lamp or antique tea set you’ve been dreaming of?

Glacismaart

Don’t miss the Glacismaart in the Limpertsberg district on the Glacis field. The Glacismaart is held every 3rd Sunday of the month from April to October (except during the Schueberfouer period).

It offers second-hand goods, textiles and various items, in addition to fresh and seasonal products. A great family outing! Don’t hesitate to visit it with your children.

Garage sale at the Glacis

From the first Sunday of April until the end of October, from 10 am to 5 pm, a gigantic garage sale takes place every first Sunday of the month on the Place du Glacis in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg.

A great opportunity for a family outing or to clear out your closets and dressings. It’s time to sort out your home or to give a second life to all your objects that you don’t want to throw away. Registrations are open 1 month before the event.

Even if many places are available at these garage sales, it is strongly recommended to reserve your stand as soon as possible. Indeed, places are expensive if you intend to participate as an exhibitor to sell your unwanted stuff.

Priority is given to residents of the City of Luxembourg until the 20th of the month. They are then open to non-residents of the city. For more information, visit the City of Luxembourg website. Participation is free.

The garage sales take place at the same time as the Sunday opening of some shops in the capital, from 10 am to 5 pm. Ideal for a shopping day or a stroll with family or friends!

Want to go there? Don’t forget that bus services are totally free in Luxembourg. A shuttle system is also planned.
