Flea markets and garage sales for the pleasure of bargain hunting

With the arrival of spring, garage sales and flea markets are coming back to life, to the delight of all bargain hunters.

Lovers of old books, period furniture, toys and other decorative objects will find what they're looking for in the stalls of flea markets.

Brocantes in Place d'Armes

From March to October, flea market lovers can enjoy the Place d'Armes flea market in the tourist district of Luxembourg-Centre.

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., you'll be able to stroll among the stalls of professional second-hand dealers. Who knows, maybe you'll find that 1930s lamp or antique tea set you've been dreaming of?

Glacismaart

And don't miss the Glacismaart on the Glacis field in the Limpertsberg district. The Glacismaart is held every 3rd Sunday of the month from April to October (except during the Schueberfouer period).

Visitors can find stalls selling fresh, seasonal produce, textiles and other items. A great family outing! Don't hesitate to bring your children along for the ride.

Garage sale at Glacis

From the 1st Sunday in April to the end of October, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., a gigantic garage sale takes place every first Sunday of the month on the Place du Glacis in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg. A great opportunity for a family stroll. 

Give a second life to your objects

Do you want to clear out your closets and dressing rooms and give a second life to all those items you don't want to throw away? A garage sale is an opportunity to sort out your home in exchange for a few euros. Take part in the Vide-grenier du Glacis. Registration opens 1 month before the event.

Even though there are plenty of places at these garage sales, we strongly recommend reserving your stall as soon as possible. Places are expensive. If you're planning to take part as an exhibitor and sell your unwanted belongings, register as soon as possible.

Registration for garage sales

Priority is given to Luxembourg City residents until the 10th of the month preceding the desired garage sale. They are then open to non-residents of the city. For further information, visit the Ville de Luxembourg website. Participation is free of charge.

Garage sales take place at the same time as the Sunday opening of certain shops in the capital, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ideal for a day's shopping or a stroll with family and friends!
