As Luxembourg is a multicultural country, there are media for each community. Here is a list of the main newspapers and radios you can read and listen to in the most spoken languages of the country: Luxembourgish, German, French, English and Portuguese.

Most popular media in Luxembourg

A government-commissioned biannual media survey highlights the most watched media in the country each year on the population over 15 years of age. In the latest survey, the RTL Group was the leading media in Luxembourg with 76.2% of the population covered.

  • RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg, the leading radio station with 52.3% of the population, i.e. 269,600 listeners per week, including 78,300 foreign residents.
    RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg, the number one TV channel with 49.1% of residents, i.e. 253,000 viewers, including 73,900 foreign residents, the leading internet media with 47.4% of residents, i.e. 244,000 visitors per week, including 72,300 foreign residents.
    Lux Wort comes in 4th position with 44.5% of residents
    L’Essentiel, on the other hand, reassures 41% of residents.
