Music concerts and concert venues in Luxembourg
Luxembourg's various concert halls and cafés with live music offer an eclectic program. All musical tastes are represented. Fans of contemporary, classical, or more folk-oriented musical productions will find something to suit their tastes in Luxembourg's concert halls.
The "Concerts de Midi" take place throughout the year in various locations around the capital. These free concerts are aimed particularly at classical music lovers and are held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on certain Fridays. In summer, the Concerts de Midi are held in the beautiful setting of the Villa Vauban.
Classical concerts at the Philharmonie Luxembourg
Located in the Kirchberg district, the Philharmonie concert hall offers not only magnificent symphonic concerts, but also several options for discovering music tailored to different ages and your availability.

More intimate concerts at Den Atelier in Luxembourg
Den Atelier has been Luxembourg'sleading live music club since 1995. In this concert hall located in the trendy nightlife district of Luxembourg-Hollerich, you can enjoy exceptional proximity to the artists. Many international artists perform in this amazing setting, which is a former disused car garage. Den Atelier can accommodate up to 1,000 people.
Created by enthusiasts of alternative music, international rock, and independent bands, Den Atelier'sprogram rivals that of international venues such as the Bataclan in Paris, the Paradiso in Amsterdam, and the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.
Den Atelier also organizes music festivals such as Rock-A-Field in Roeser and Siren's Call.

Rockhal in Belval, Luxembourg's largest concert venue
The Rockhal in Belval (Esch-sur-Alzette) is the largest concert hall in Luxembourg. Opened in 2005 on the industrial wasteland of Belval, the Rockhal has become the place to be for international music events and gatherings.
Many international stars such as Sting include the Rockhal in Luxembourg in their world tours.
In addition to rock and pop concerts, you can also attend film concerts , classical ballets such as Swan Lake , and contemporary dance performances. Major musical performances such as the ballet-concert Carmina Burana are also staged here, as well as plays and one-man shows for the general public.
With its three halls, the Rockhal can accommodate up to 6,500 people in the Main Hall, 1,200 people in the Club and 200 people on the Floor. The Rockhal also includes a recording studio, a dance studio, rehearsal rooms and a Documentation Center.
Every year, the Rockhal welcomes more than 250,000 visitors from across the Greater Region. More than 200 events take place there every year.
Public transport provides good connections to the venue. We recommend taking train line 60 from Luxembourg and Bettembourg to Esch-sur-Alzette/Belval. Several bus lines also serve the venue.
Access by car is possible with a car park nearby, but the number of spaces is limited. We recommend using the Belval-Université train station car park. When you arrive, remember to take a "concert ticket" so you don't have to queue to pay for parking when you leave the show.
Concerts at Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains
This former Casino Bourgeois, dating from 1882, is dedicated to contemporary creation in all its forms. You can attend concerts and shows there. You can consult the program and reserve your seats on the website.

Blues Club for jazz lovers
The Blues Club Lëtzebuerg is a benchmark for jazz and blues in Luxembourg.
It participates in the Blues'n Jazz Rally festival organized in the summer as part of the"Summer in the City" program.
The club is also involved in numerous concerts organized in the region. Jazzconcerts are held inthe enchanting and legendary 250-seat "Sang a klang" hall in the Luxembourg-Pfaffenthal district. This hall also hosts screenings for the Cineast Film Festival.
Music festivals in Luxembourg
Starting in May, numerous festivals take place in Luxembourg, including the Summer in the City event. The musical season begins withthe My Urban Piano initiative, which sees pianos scattered throughout the city of Luxembourg.
Other notable music festivals and concerts include:
- Since 2019, Luxembourg Open Air has opened and closed the music season with two days of open-air concerts in Esch-sur-Alzette and Luxembourg at LuxExpo. Headliners such as Sting, Justin Timberlake, and Damso attract thousands of spectators.
- The Fête de la Musique, which celebrates the start of summer with music in the streets of Luxembourg's main cities
- City Sounds, with a music stage set up on the Champ du Glacis as part of the National Day festivities on June 22 and 23
- Les Francopholies in the Parc du Galgebierg in Esch-sur-Alzette. This festival brings together several French-speaking headliners in a rural, family-friendly atmosphere over a period of three days.
- The Siren's Call music festival in Luxembourg is an opportunity to attend concerts of different genres: French pop, rock, electro, etc. in the magnificent setting of Neumunster Abbey.
- The Kinnekswiss Loves festival offers the privilege of attending a grand philharmonic concert on the lawn of the Municipal Park in July.
- The Rock A Field Festival is organized by the Den Atelier concert hall in the bucolic setting of the town of Roeser.
- The Blues'n Jazz Rallye Festival brings jazz lovers together in the streets of the lower town of Clausen and in the Grund.
- The Wiltz Festival in June-July is an opportunity to discover the northern capital with international musicians and bands.
A special musical event delights music lovers: the Fête de la Musique in June. In Luxembourg, it lasts for several days!
In addition, the Festival des Migrations, although not focused on music, is an opportunity to discover Luxembourg's rich multicultural heritage, particularly through other world music and lesser-known artists. This festival takes place in winter at LuxExpoThe Box.

Eurovision Song Contest
Luxembourg resumed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024, after a 31-year absence. Its last appearance before this return was in 1993, when Luxembourg finished in 20th place.

The theaters of Luxembourg City, cultural centers, and private venues offer numerous dance and ballet performances in Luxembourg.

Located in the Luxembourg-Bonnevoie district, TROIS C-L is the leading contemporary dance venue in Luxembourg.
On the 3rd of each month, TROIS C-L organizes "3 du TROIS," a multidisciplinary artistic program that seeks to rethink and question society and choreographic art. For the public, it is a unique opportunity to discover the world of contemporary dance and share moments of exchange with the guest artists.

Free music lessons for young people
Luxembourg offers free public education to all young people in the fields of music, speech, and dance. Until the age of 18, young residents can take advantage of free music lessons in municipal facilities until they complete their first-cycle diploma.
This free access is proportional to family income, thus integrating musical education as an integral part of children's education in Luxembourg.

Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg
Founded in 1906 thanks to a private donation, the Luxembourg City Conservatory is located in the Merl district. It has a prestigious auditorium with over 600 seats, whose acoustics have already won over many famous artists, including Mstislav Rostropovich.
The Conservatory is a music and dance school for students aged 7 to 25, offering 140 theoretical and practical disciplines.
For younger children, an introduction to music is available from the age of 3 with the "Mini musique" activity. Classical dance is taught from the age of 7.
Students can learn to play various musical instruments, take dance and singing lessons, as well as classes in diction, drama in German and French, improvisation, physical expression, stage direction, breathing, and theater history.
The conservatory also has branch locations in different neighborhoods of Luxembourg City, in collaboration with music schools.
Applications for enrollment take place during the first half of September. Enrollment is subject to availability. Aptitude tests may be required.
The conservatory museum displays musical archives and antique musical instruments, including the piano on which Franz Liszt performed his last concert in 1886.
The Rollingergrund Municipal Band
In conjunction with the Luxembourg Conservatory,the Rollingergrund Municipal Harmony offers music theory and wind instrument lessons for brass and woodwind instruments. A very good amateur wind instrument orchestra, the Municipal Harmony is regularly looking for new musicians, including percussionists. Calling all musicians looking for an orchestra where they can express their talents.

Voices International is an international choir for adults in Luxembourg. This non-profit association regularly gives concerts in different languages and musical genres. The proceeds are donated to children's charities.
