Event description

Held every spring, the Postlaf is the running event that kicks off the sporting season in Luxembourg.

Training for the summer season with Postlaf an der Stad

With a distance of 10 km, it's a great way to get in shape for the new season. A great opportunity to train for future races, whether you're a seasoned runner or a beginner.

Even children can take part in the Postlaf. The Post4Kids Run is specially designed for younger runners. The distances to be covered are 500 meters for children aged between 5 and 8, and 1,000 meters for children aged between 9 and 15.

The dates for Postlaf 2025 are not yet known, but we'll be sure to keep you informed.

Organizing the Postlaf race in Luxembourg

The Postlaf is organized every year by the Amicale de la Poste. In 2024, it attracted almost 2,500 participants.

The Postlaf starts at 10 a.m. at the Cloche d'Or, Rue Emile Bian in the Gasperich district. During this event, the runners will criss-cross the Gasperich and Cessange districts of Luxembourg's capital. The streets concerned are naturally closed to traffic. If you have to travel on this day, please avoid the area.

Prizes are awarded to the winners at 12.15pm, with a raffle draw. Each participant receives a T-shirt, and vouchers are awarded to the first finishers.

Covered by the RTL press group, the Postlaf also offers catering, a refreshment bar and on-site entertainment. The Caritas association, which helps the underprivileged , also provides a crèche service to look after young children during the parents' race.

So there's no excuse not to take part!
