Event description

The 6th edition of the Lëts Go Gold charity race will take place on September 23, 2023 in Kockelscheuer, on the initiative of the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner.

Raise funds against pediatric cancer with Lëtz Go Gold

Would you like to help fight cancer, especially in children? Then take part in the next Lëtz Go Gold race, against pediatric cancers in Luxembourg.

Like every year, participants in the Lëtz Go Gold race are committed to raising funds. All funds raised will be donated to children's cancer research.

A special feature of the Lëtz Go Gold race in Luxembourg is the pledge to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. Students and minors pledge a minimum of 100 euros. Adults commit to raising a minimum of 200 euros.

The funds raised help to advance research into pediatric cancers. Funds donated are used to develop new drugs or improve the efficacy of existing ones.

The next edition of the Lëtz go Gold race will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

At the last Lëtz Go Gold, 106 teams took part, with a total of 1,392 participants. They raised nearly 618,000 euros. A new record!

In 2021, over 900 runners raised just over 420,000 euros. In 2022, 1,100 runners raised 560,000 euros.

Well done to all participants for their commitment!

Supporting pediatric cancer in Luxembourg

In Luxembourg, between 30 and 40 children are diagnosed with cancer every year. Well cared for, notably at the CHL's National Pediatric Onco-Hematology Service, within the CHL's Kannerklinik, children need their parents by their side. Even more so when they have to undergo treatment abroad.

Thanks to "family leave for serious reasons", parents benefit from an extraordinary 52-weekleave to be taken over 2 years. However, this leave cannot be taken by both parents together, and is not renewed if exhausted during the period, in the event of the child's relapse.

The Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation is fighting to develop this leave, and even extend it to grandparents. For over 30 years, the Foundation has been supporting families affected by the disease on a daily basis. Don't hesitate to support them by making a donation at https://fondatioun.lu/. You will also find all the Foundation's news and infrastructures on the website.
