The ACL is an association and community of 180,000 members committed to mobility in the broadest sense in Luxembourg. It guarantees and promotes access to mobility, its quality, safety, and freedom of choice of means of transport.

ACL services in Luxembourg, 24/7 assistance

The ACL's mission is to offer 24/7 assistance and impartial, expert advice through a comprehensive range of services designed to guarantee mobility.

Whether it's advice, assistance, or solutions in terms of electric or conventional mobility—private or company vehicles, but also in terms of soft and urban mobility or shared mobility—the ACL supports the development of sustainable auto-mobility and multi-modality concepts.

Helpdesk and international network for automotive assistance

In order to offer the best possible assistance to newcomers to Luxembourg, and in addition to its traditional 24/7 roadside assistance, the ACL has a helpdesk dedicated to newcomers.

The ACL is part of a network of institutional partnerships in Luxembourg and a network of international partners: member of the FIA; partner of ARC Europe, the largest provider of roadside assistance services in Europe with a network in more than 40 European countries; and partner of European and global automobile clubs.

In order to offer the best possible assistance to "newcomers to Luxembourg," and in addition to its traditional 24/7 roadside assistance, the ACL has a helpdesk dedicated to newcomers, offering the following services:

• Advice and technical inspections (e.g., when buying/selling a used car)
• Traffic and roadworks information
• Legal information on all mobility-related issues
• 24/7 home assistance (locksmith, plumber, heating engineer, electrician)
• Car rental at reduced rates for members in Luxembourg and worldwide
• Issuance of international driver's licenses, highway stickers, etc.

Travel assistance and insurance

• Worldwide travel health insurance at preferential rates for members and their entire family (daily and annual rates)
• Luggage and cancellation insurance
• Travel planning advice and tourist information (free maps for members)
• International vignettes and badges for tolls and environmental compliance, rescue information sheets

Second-hand market for car seats and booster seats

Need a baby car seat in almost new condition or a booster seat for your child in your car? The Automobile Club of Luxembourg regularly organizes sales of used child car seats and specially adapted restraint systems.

This market is an opportunity to purchase safe equipment at reduced prices. The ACL takes great care to ensure that the baby seats and booster seats on offer are clean, in good condition, and, above all, comply with current safety standards.

Several hundred seats of different categories are available at net prices. The Automobile Club acts as an intermediary for the sale free of charge and does not take any commission on sales. Furthermore, only cash payments are accepted.

Parents can also obtain additional information on the various road safety systems and standards from ACL staff.

The ACL regularly tests child seats and cages for transporting dogs in your car. You can find the results of these tests on the ACL website.
