Far from the grandeur of large orchestras, this concert highlights a subtle musical dialogue between two exceptional artists.

Two leading artists of the Baroque repertoire

At the heart of this program, violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte and harpsichordist and organist William Christie join forces. Following a highly acclaimed first collaboration in 2021, they reunite to explore the world of Jean-Philippe Rameau, an iconic figure of French Baroque music, renowned for the expressive richness and modernity of his compositions.

A musical program centered on Rameau’s works

The evening opens with an improvised prelude in E major, before taking the audience on a journey through several of Rameau’s stage works. The program highlights the diversity of his repertoire, ranging from dance music to lyrical arias and dramatic scenes.

• Dardanus: “Avec du vin endormons-nous” (Tender Rondeau)

Pieces by Toussaint Bordet, Jacques Aubert, Charles-Antoine Branche, Jean-Baptiste de Cupis de Camargo, Antoine Dauvergne, Louis Aubert the Younger, and André-Joseph Exaudet round out the program.
