In Luxembourg, Les Rotondes is a true cultural institution. Located in Bonnevoie, this cultural space is one of the jewels of Luxembourg-City in terms of dissemination and artistic creation, all disciplines combined.
Les Rotondes – two former locomotive sheds at Luxembourg station – is a unique venue, offering events in the fields of performing arts, contemporary music and visual arts, as well as a wide range of conferences, participatory projects and workshops for all ages.
The aim of the cultural space is to create bridges between disciplines in order to bring audiences together and encourage the sharing of new ideas and concepts. As pioneers of talent in the above-mentioned fields, the Rotondes give an important place to young people, both as participants and as audiences, and are a centre of expertise and incubator of new initiatives in the interface between culture and education.
In 2015, the Rotondes adopted the subtitle “Cultural Explorations”. By combining these two terms – “exploration” and “culture” -, they invite the public to discover new scenes, new trends, new artists and new debates, and thus broaden the cultural offer in the Grand Duchy and the Greater Region.
Restaurant Bar La Buvette
In Les Rotondes, there is also the “Buvette” restaurant-bar, with a friendly spirit and a very warm atmosphere. The old air stream caravan has been replaced by a new container structure, including the kitchen and a counter opened in summer, in addition to the bar inside.
Discover the brunch at the refreshment bar, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm, with a hot and cold buffet. Bookings in advance by phone or email. For more information, visit rotondes.lu/buvette
