Bernard-Massard, 100 years of history in Moselle wine production

It was in 1921 that Jean Bernard, a cellar master in Champagne, founded the Bernard-Massard company in association with his wife’s name. On the banks of the Moselle, he produced sparkling wines using the Champagne method.

The Bernard-Massard company grew and employed 45 people on the eve of the Second World War, producing 150,000 bottles of crémant. After the war, new investments relaunched the company. To celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, Bernard-Massard launched its famous Cuvée de l’Ecusson. It became the best-selling cuvée. It also won accolades from the wine world.

Today, Bernard-Massard exports its sparkling and still wines to many countries around the world. The company offers a range of cuvées to suit all occasions and food and wine pairings.

In 2020, Bernard-Massard began producing organic wines.
