On Sunday 17 November, from 10 am to 6 pm, the 73rd Bazaar of the Red Cross will take place in Luxembourg, in the Halle Victor Hugo in the Luxembourg-Limpertsberg district.
An opportunity for Luxembourg residents to help the most deprived and to do a good deed while enjoying a traditional and essential event in Luxembourg.
Flea markets and catering at the Red Cross Bazaar
On site, you will find a huge “vide-dressing” with vintage clothes and other second-hand items such as handicrafts, but also silverware or porcelain dishes,… In brief, gift ideas for next Christmas. Whatever your budget, there should be something for everyone! In total, more than thirty flea markets stands.
A Food hall will also offer visitors a varied catering with national and international culinary specialities. A raffle is also planned as part of the program to win prizes.
Activity stands for children are also available in the kids corner. They will also be able to meet Saint Nicholas, who will visit at 11am and 3pm.
A street art and music show is also planned.
Something to delight young and old alike!
Traditionally under the patronage of Grand Duchess Marie-Thérésa, last year it was Prince Felix and his wife Princess Claire who honoured the Bazaar with their presence. We also saw Xavier Bettel, First Minister, and Stéphane Bern, a famous French television host, of Luxembourg origin by his grandmother.
A good time, a good action in favour of the poorest
The event is under the theme “Mënschen hëllefen en Doheem ginn”, “giving a home to the most deprived”. The profits will be used this year to offer housing to homeless people in Luxembourg and abroad. More than 300 volunteers participate in this charity event!
Organized for the first time in the aftermath of the Second World War in 1946, the Red Cross Bazaar has always wanted to help the poorest. Sale of second-hand clothes, food, crafts, the occasion has now become a social event.
Go with your family to enjoy a friendly and supportive time.
