Provide your child with an environment that is conducive to their psychological and physical development.

L’Enfant Roi consists of 12 daycare centers and 1 school, located in Strassen, Bertrange, Mersch, Kirchberg, Cloche d’Or, Mamer, Senningerberg, and, most recently, Howald.

The Montessori Approach at the Heart of L’Enfant Roi’s Mission

Our educational approach, developed in our Montessori daycare centers, is based on the principles discovered and articulated by Maria Montessori. Children’s autonomy, their daily well-being, their personal development, and their freedom are all concepts that are important to us.

We believe that every child possesses all the potential necessary for their development and that adults are there to help that potential blossom. Itis essential to offer children the opportunity to fully develop their various sensibilities in an environment adapted to their psychological and physical needs, respecting their own pace and individual characteristics while introducing them to social life.

Our Montessori Environments for Children’s Development

Located in high-quality facilities, we have created nurturing, age-appropriate environments where children can thrive. Here, the little ones grow through personalized learning paths.

The Nido welcomes babies aged 2 to 24 months at L’Enfant Roi

It combines modernity with respect for the child, in line with our educational philosophy. Floor-level beds andweaning tablespromote independence in very young children. We are attentive to the needs and daily rhythms of the babies entrusted to our care . A team of dedicated professionalscares for them, respecting their routines and needs.

The Children’s Community for children ages 2 to 3

The Children’s Community allows children ages 2 to 3 to thrive in a suitable environment. The environment, designed according to Montessori principles, fosters the development and learning of children in this age group. The educational team—composed of certified educators, graduates in early childhood education, and preschool teachers—works with dedication and enthusiasm.

The Children’s House welcomes 3- to 4-year-olds at L’Enfant Roi

La Maison des Enfants offers an educational program aligned with that of the Maria Montessori Preschool in Strassen. It provides children aged 3 to4 with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and prepare for entry into preschool. Children are introduced to geometry, numeracy, and writing. They also receive an introduction to visual arts and music, as well as geography, zoology, and botany. Concepts such as respect for the environment, politeness toward adults and other children, and self-respect and self-esteem are also addressed.

The teaching staff for this group consists of educators, preschool teachers, and instructors who teach in French, Luxembourgish, or English, preparing children in a calm and serene environment for their transition to school.

Healthy, Nutritionally Balanced Meals in Our Montessori Daycare Centers

Because eating well is essential for healthy growth, we place great importance on ensuring that the children’s diets meet medical recommendations. All the ingredients in our menus are healthy, fresh, local, and seasonal. All dishes are homemade by our kitchen staff and monitored by our health department to ensure a balanced and healthy diet.

Your child’s health is a top priority for L’Enfant Roi

Each of our daycare centers has a nurse who provides the necessary care for the children: administering medication, managing allergies, handling emergencies, monitoring weight gain, and more. They are also responsible for implementing individualized care protocols within the daycare center and ensuring compliance with them.

The nursing team is led by our Health Services Director, a registered pediatric nurse. She is also available to you—by phone, email, or during parent-teacher conferences—to discuss any questions you may have regarding nutrition, sleep, health, or any other topic you’d like to address.

The entire health services team meets regularly to discuss the latest medical developments and adapt our protocols accordingly.

Hygiene: A Key Priority and Well-Managed in Our Montessori Daycare Centers

Hygiene in daycare centers is a top priority. In our facilities, thanks to tailored measures—including, among other things, detailed cleaning schedules for the premises and maintenance teams trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards—we prevent most problems, particularly those related to contamination.

Air quality is also monitored using analyzers installed in each facility. Thanks to this system, we are able to quickly address any issues that may arise in the event of indoor air pollution.

Our educational and technical staff are supervised and made aware of this issue, which must be handled with the utmost care.Furthermore, using the Montessori method—and particularly through personal care exercises—we teach children about personal hygiene (washing hands, brushing teeth, washing their faces, blowing their noses properly, not sneezing in another child’s face, etc.).

Ongoing Training in the Montessori Method: The Driving Force Behind Our Teams

We provide Montessori training for all our staff members. The training team consists of educators, teachers, psychologists, pediatric nurses, and social workers. These complementary skills come together within a dynamic and harmonious group focused on the child and their development. The training programs offered are varied and practical: cultural and artistic enrichment, psychomotor development, the Snoezelen approach (inclusivity), as well as multilingualism and educational approaches.

The Personalized Welcome and Support Program

Parents play a key role at the daycare center. They are invited to meetings with the educational team, to conferences on educational methods, and, if they wish, to discussions with the center’s nurse.

Exclusive to Luxembourg, our monitoring and support program offers children the opportunity to thrive in an environment designed entirely to meet their needs as well as those of their parents.More than just a daycare center , L’Enfant Roi allows you to track your child’s development on a daily basis and offers personalized parenting support through the “L’Enfant Roi App” and our internal monitoring process.

Building on our daycare services, our Maria Montessori School in Luxembourg welcomes students ages 3 to 12 from the very start of their schooling.
