Serve the city.lu, a solidarity initiative
Would you like to help others by volunteering to support homeless people, children in need or to participate in other non-profit projects in Luxembourg? The Serve the City website could be useful for you…
Serve The City is an online volunteering platform created in 2012 in Luxembourg. This organization identifies and organizes various events for which volunteers are needed.
Sometimes, foreign newcomers as well as Luxembourg residents would like to be useful and get involved in several communities in order to help them, without really knowing where to go or who to contact.
Serve The City was therefore created to publicize the various actions requiring volunteers in Luxembourg, before and after they take place. Six people are behind this initiative with a common goal in mind: to develop volunteering in Luxembourg. Since then, the team has grown to a dozen members. The organization wants above all to be a human bridge between resource people and people in need.
Serve The City regularly organizes volunteer-based activities. Many of the Upcoming events are posted on the site, along with a list of volunteer profiles for each event. All you have to do is register for the events that interest you or the offers that correspond to you to participate!
Graphic designer, photographer, translator, project manager, salesman, … many profiles are currently sought by the organization. If you have a specific idea for a volunteer project, you can also contact Serve The City to tell them about your proposal! They will be happy to discuss this with you. More info on the Serve the City.lu website.
