During the year, Luxembourg’s stores open exceptionally once a month to allow everyone to do their shopping.

Christmas shopping in Luxembourg
Shops that are open on Sundays before Christmas are an opportunity for everyone to do shopping and buy Christmas gifts in a festive atmosphere.
On these special days before Christmas, stores are allowed to close later or open on Sundays, making life easier for all those who work. Moreover, walking through illuminated and decorated streets and shops with the most glitzy windows is really a great pleasure for everyone. Discover or rediscover your city from a new perspective, dressed in its bright clothes with the Winterlights festival.
Are you tired? Take the opportunity to visit the Christmas markets and have a bite in a friendly atmosphere. Even kids will love Christmas shopping!
Different activites are organised in the hundreds of ships of Luxembourg-City, whether in the Central Station district or in the town centre. The service Cityshopping Info Point of the Place d’Armes even offers you to pack your gifts for free!
Free public transport
To make the most of Sunday shopping, all bus lines (1-31) running in the capital as well as some RGTR bus lines will be free throughout the day on all of their routes. Every 6 minutes, free City Shopping Bus shuttles depart between 13:30 am and 18:30 pm, from the Glacis car park to the Limpertsberg district (free on Sundays) and the rue Beaumont, in the city centre.
You can also park in the P+R car parks on the outskirts.
