The Theaters of the City of Luxembourg, the Grand Théâtre and the Théâtre des Capucins present theater productions or shows of very high quality in collaboration with their international partners. The programmation is varied.

Built in the early 60’s, the Grand Théâtre is located in the Limpertsberg district of Luxembourg, 1, Rond Point Robert Schuman.
The Grand Théâtre offers and co-produces opera, musical theater, classical and contemporary dance performances. It also hosted 2 Eurovision Song Contests in 1973 and 1984. The large hall can accommodate up to 950 people. The studio can accommodate between 100 and 400 people.

Théâtre des Capucins
Located 9 Rue du Theâtre in Luxembourg-Centre, the Théâtre des Capucins is housed in the former monastery of the Capuchin monks, right in the city center of Luxembourg. It is in 1867 that the Capuchin Convent is acquired by the municipality which will use the church of the Convent like municipal theater until 1964. Renovated, it is inaugurated in its current configuration in 1985 and proposes a hall of more than 260 places.
The programming is national and European, with a rather dramatic theater oriented programming.
