A local producer of natural mineral waters, Rosport Sources is looking for continuous improvement in its quality. The company accesses it by scrupulously respecting the environment and a series of eco-responsible values.
Founded in 1959, Rosport Sources S.A. draws mineral waters from a naturally sparkling spring, the highly sparkling Rosport Classic and the slightly sparkling Rosport Blue, as well as a natural non-carbonated mineral water source, Viva. The range is complemented by a drink of its sparkling spring water mixed with apple juice, the Rosport Pom’s, as well as with its range Rosport matte, an assortment of its naturally sparkling water, flavored with lemon, lime, mint and grapefruit, and finally with a range of flat water mixed with 5% orange juice, lime-lime or peach.
A natural commitment
In the same vein, Rosport Sources has reassessed the distances of the sites of the various suppliers to its production site in Rosport, in order to also reduce the emission rates related to the transport of raw materials.
Initiatives and recycling
Sources Rosport offers glass bottles of different sizes, but also PET bottles to be able to cope with the offer of major international brands. In order to meet the demand, while respecting its convictions, efforts were made as early as 2011.
With this in mind, Rosport Sources initially sought to reduce the PET material in its bottles and achieved a gain of 37 tonnes in the year of the change.
Second, the company focused on the content of recycled PET, known as “rPET,” of its bottles. Currently, Those of Rosport Viva, Rosport Blue and Rosport mat are made up of 50% rPET. Rosport Classic bottles are made up of 25% rPET and 75% Bio PET, a PET derived from sugar cane.
With the release of the new Rosport Sunny product, Rosport Sources now offers a bottle made up of 100% recycled PET (rPET). A turning point for the company, which is committed to replacing containers of the entire range with 100% rPET. In accordance with the principle of the circular economy, the company signed an agreement in 2014 with Valorlux and Plastipak LuxPET. This ensures that the collected ROSport PET Sources bottles are re-injected, after their use, into the recycling system, in order to become, among other things, a new PET bottle. It is also with this in mind that Sources Rosport has decided not to export its products, in order to be able to work in a closed circuit system, in the hope that each of its bottles can be revalued infinitely.
