With more than 3,600 students and apprentices in more than 250 classes, the Luxembourg public high school “Lycée Technique du Centre” is one of the largest secondary schools in the country. It proposes both luxembourgish and international high school.
In addition to all technical sub-sections, it is also possible to take training courses for technicians in the fields of chemistry (flagship of LTC), car mechanics and the administrative and commercial function.
The LTC also offers preparation for the International Baccalaureate and is referenced as IB World School. The IB International Diploma is recognized by all major universities worldwide. For any additional information on the international high school diploma, consult the site www.ibo.org.
Classes of insertion are also proposed to the pupils not mastering the languages used in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg in order to follow the school curriculum corresponding to their age class and to quickly learn the languages of the country (Luxembourgish, German, French ). See school support for foreign children.
The LTC is also open to adult training as part of the initial training and preparation for the master’s certificate.
Today the LTC operates on 2 campuses: main campus located in Limpertsberg on the site of a former convent of Dominican sisters and an annex campus of 450 students from about fifty different nationalities in Kirchberg. The Lycée Technique du Center is expected to move to the Kirchberg site by 2025. The current premises of the LTC would then be taken over by Lycée Michel Lucius.
