Lycée Michel Lucius International School

The public high school Michel Lucius in Luxembourg is a general high school (formerly technical) which now offers the opportunity to follow a curriculum in English language, sanctioned at the end by a diploma A level GCE / equivalent to the Certificate of achievement the middle cycle of Secondary Education (3rd grade) under certain conditions.

Since the beginning of the school year 2017/2018, Michel Lucius proposes also to native English-speaking pupils, a luxembourgish fundamental school education but in english, as an alternative to the Luxembourg Fundamental School.

Primary and secondary english school

As now an international school, Michel Lucius offers a curriculum in English from primary to secondary in all subjects. French and German are taught as foreign languages. Luxembourgish is mandatory for pupils to be admitted in Michel Lucius as a language of integration. Language teaching is flexible and adapted to the student’s level and age.

The diploma obtained in secondary education is a GSCE General Certificate of Secondary Education and an A-level.

Admission is based on an oral and written English language test and a math test. Once admitted to the school, other tests will be requested in relation to the subjects chosen by the student.

Timetable: the school is open from 8:15 to 15:55; the lessons end at 15h00. Tutoring sessions are held from 15:00 to 16:00.

Luxembourg General Secondary School

For the luxembourgish secondary education, Lycée Michel Lucius offers students technical secondary education classes from the 7th to the 13th general or oriented on the natural sciences, administrative and commercial or  health and social professions.

By 2025, Lycée Michel Lucius will move to a new campus to build Boulevard Pierre Frieden behind the Auchan Shopping Center in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
