Lycée de Garçons LGL

The Lycée de Garçons de Luxembourg or LGL is one of the most renowned high schools in Luxembourg’s secondary education.

Formerly “Industrial School” created in 1892, the future Lycée de Garçons de Luxembourg (1945) elects home in 1905 in the current building located in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg. It is also referred to  “Harry Potter High School” byvstudents given its architecture dating back to the early 20th century.

In the first level, 7th and 6th grade, pupils can benefit from an introduction to new technologies and can choose in grades 7 to 5 music  and ALLET (German as a foreign language) options, offered to students meeting difficulties in German to the exit of the fundamental schools.

In 3rd, 2nd and 1st classes, students have several section choices:

  • Section A: Modern languages
  • Section B: Mathematics – Computer Science
  • Section C: Natural Sciences – Mathematics
  • Section D: Economics – Mathematics
  • Section E: Plastic arts
  • Section G: Humanities and Social Sciences

Among the activities proposed to the students: theater activity and a communication-based school project.
