From the name of the former “Casino Bourgeois” built in 1882 in the historic heart of the city of Luxembourg where it is housed, the Forum of Contemporary Art Casino Luxembourg is devoted since 1996 to contemporary creation in all its forms despite a place of very classical architecture.
The Casino Luxembourg offers a complete program of cultural activities for all: exhibitions, projection of videos and films of contemporary artists in the space “BlackBox” of the ground floor.
The first floor brings together major temporary exhibitions, whether collective or monographic, of recognized artists or new talents.
The Casino also has an open access library called InfoLab. The InfoLab welcomes you to a cozy place. More than 7000 books, publications and magazines dedicated to contemporary art as well as files on local artists. magazines, books, videos and artist files in free consultation.
The Forum of Contemporary Art is also a place of meetings and cultural exchanges in the image of the last public performance of Franz Liszt who gave a recital spontaneously in 1886.
