Sports activities in the commune of Walferdange and transports

Regarding recreation and sport, Walferdange offers a great leisure opportunity (see the Pidal center, the football and tennis fields).

Among the remarkable facilities, the bicycle path of the Alzette, which is 31 km long, goes along the Valley of Alzette and connects Bereldange and Ettelbruck, which allows to combine the excursion with train rides, or even with a return by train to Luxembourg-City.

A small problem related to the geographic position of the municipality : the traffic towards the capital during peak hours, due to the unique main street providing access to the downtown.

However, the connection between the Walferdange station and the Central station of Luxembourg allows a train journey lasting approximately 10 minutes, which offers an interesting alternative to the car.
