What is Luxembourg Art Week?
Luxembourg Art Week is a key event in Luxembourg’s cultural life, totally dedicated to contemporary art production. These 3 artistic ASBl the Agence Luxembourgeoise d’Action Culturelle, the Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg and ArtContemporain.lu created this event in 2015. The last edition in 2018 attracted more than 12,500 visitors around 50 exhibitors from 7 different countries. More than 250 artists were represented.
This Art Week takes the form of a major contemporary art exhibition, as it does every year. It offers an overview of contemporary creation in Luxembourg and neighbouring countries. Major institutions such as Casino Luxembourg, Mudam Luxembourg and the Centre Pompidou-Metz are actively involved. Conferences are organised at the Cercle Cité or at the Cinémathèque de Luxembourg.
This art fair is now a must for all art lovers, collectors and professionals. Many galleries want to participate, so a selection committee makes it possible to choose the selected candidates. These galleries exhibit high quality works for collectors or works at more affordable prices for a wider audience.
In addition to the opportunities to meet the artists, conferences and guided tours are also organized, as well as a workshop for children.
Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg
This year again, the Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg is associated with the Luxembourg Art of Week and is taking place at the same time. It presents artistic works at the Tramschapp Rue Ermesinde in Luxembourg from 2 to 10 November 2019, with a prize-giving ceremony.
