Luxembourg Art Week 2023, November 10-12, 2023
The best in contemporary art: Luxembourg Art Week
From November 10 to 12, 2023, the ninth edition of Luxembourg Art Week will take place on the Champs du Glacis at Limpertsberg. With the support of the Ministry of Culture and the City of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Art Week presents the best of contemporary art every year.
Luxembourg Art Week is a key event in Luxembourg’s cultural life. Internationally recognized art galleries showcase the finest and most unexpected contemporary creations. Visitors, whether simply curious or seasoned art lovers, can also discover new artists.
Like every year in Luxembourg, the “Semaine de l’art” takes the form of a major contemporary art exhibition. At the end of your visit, you’ll have an overview of contemporary creation, whether local or from other countries.
At Luxembourg Art Week, several sections present art from different angles:
- The main section gathers works by renowned and emerging artists.
- The Solo section introduces new projects and highlights a particular artist.
- The Take-Off section offers works to be discovered, promised to a future in the art world.
When and where?
Once again this year, the fair itself will take place in a 5,000 m2 temporary structure on Luxembourg’s Place du Glacis (Limpertsberg district). The entrance is on the Allée Schaeffer side.
The Agence Luxembourgeoise d’Action Culturelle, Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg and ArtContemporain.lu created this event in 2015. The last edition, in 2022, attracted over 20,000 visitors, with contemporary works of art. Over 80 art galleries from 14 countries and 5 continents were present. In total, more than 400 artists were represented through 1,500 unique works.
This art fair is now a must for all art lovers, collectors and professionals.
As part of Luxembourg Art Week, visitors can meet the artists present.
Art lovers can also attend lectures and guided tours in the Museums of Luxembourg or the Greater Region. Partnerships are organized with the Mudam, the Casino Luxembourg or the Centre Pompidou in Metz.
