The 33rd edition of the festival of migration is coming!

For the 33rd time, Luxembourg will host the festival of migration, cultures and citizenship these March 11, 12 and 13.

Organized by the CLAE, the event will take place at Luxexpo, in Kirchberg. The admission is completely free !

More than 400 stands will be present for this new edition of the festival. Among them, there will be multicultural associative booths, but also booths regrouping the main Luxembourger institutions. Just Arrived and his Club of Ambassadors will also participate at the exhibition, alongside the city of Luxembourg.

What’s in the program ?

The Festival of migration will let you discover many booths on the premises, but will also offer a wide variety of activities : debates, entertainment, stage shows, cultural and artistic activities, concerts... Every effort has been made to make of this event a place for exchange, encounters and cultural discoveries !

On March 11, the Palestinian group Masha'el el Falesteen will perform its magnificent dance show, the Algerian group Indjaran will introduce you to its traditional rousing rhythm and African River will create the ambiance with its music combining modernity and typical sounds from traditional African music. A major debate on the Luxembourgian hospitality policy will also be organized.

On March 12, the theme of the festival will be international music and dance and will combine the activities of many arts organizations. Ready-to-wear, accessories and jewelry made by African and Caribbean artists will also be showcased. Creative workshops, games, as well as two conferences on "the migrant crisis" are also planned. And finally, the documentary titled “Embargo against Cubas” will be screened at 6.30 pm.

On March 13, the various activities of the festival will still be held in a musical, artistic and multicultural atmosphere. Some games are still planned, as well as the broadcasting of the documentary "The history of the Borny associations”. Two debates are also on the agenda : “Frontiers. An exhibition at the national immigration history Museum about their limits” and “Spain at the crossroads".

Friday from 06.00 pm to 01.00 am | Saturday from noon to 2.00 am | Sunday from noon to 8.00 pm at Luxexpo, Luxembourg – Kirchberg !
