How to find a job in Luxembourg?

Are you looking for a job in Luxembourg? Here are some tips that could help you…

Finding a job in Luxembourg can sometimes be difficult and take some time. However, as well as ADEM, there are a number of useful organisations that can help you in your search for a job. Here are a few of them.

Recruitment Agencies

In Luxembourg there are a great deal of recruitment agencies. Their purpose? To act as a link, (often free of charge), between employers and jobseekers. Signing up with them allows you to be in their database and improves your chances to find a job suited to your profile and abilities. To name but a few: RH Expert, specialised in permanent contracts, Ajilon RH Solutions and Michael Page International.

Numerous agencies have been set up in Luxembourg to support jobseekers. Here are a few: Zarabina, an association proposing free training (mainly languages) and advice, Initiativ Rëm Schaffen asbl, offering on appointment free career advice, and Junior Chamber International Luxembourg, specialising in advice and support for young entrepreneurs and workers.

Specialised Internet sites

One of the best ways to get a complete list of jobs corresponding to your profile is to sign up to job search websites, or at least, by checking them regularly. Some even send you weekly emails with a selection of job offers, which correspond to your profile. Check out Moovijob, Euraxess (for researchers), Monster and also the job section of L’Essentiel.

Job Forums

Job Forums (e.g. :  Moovijob Tour DeLux,  Unicareers, Plug&Work Luxembourg ) are regularly organised in Luxembourg and often attract the biggest companies present on the Luxembourgish market and from very different domains. A good way to meet potential employers and to hand deliver some CV’s. So keep informed on the Career Salons in Luxembourg and neighbouring countries, as they can be really useful to get your search going!
