Canadian artist Reed Anderson works from his studio in Brooklyn New York. Known to the art world since 2005, he embodies the 80’s artistic theme: deconstruct traditional concepts and methods by playing with attention grabbing colours and natural patterns.
Red, orange, green, blue, Reed Anderson like using colour and infuses his paintings with his vitality. If flowers form part of the base of the painting then Reed Anderson uses paper cutting to make them stand out and give depth to his work. He uses a cylindrical steel knife and a hammer to scatter his paintings with geometrical patterns.
Character, strength, and audacity: Reed Anderson’s exhibition is well worth a visit, even if just to stock up on creative energy. The gallery is open everyday for visitors from 11am to 6pm.
